2) Service Confirmation and Agreement

Examination or training details (including date, time, location, and scope) will be confirmed in writing via email or other written communication. Written confirmation constitutes full acceptance of these terms, including all payment obligations, limitations, and disclaimers.

3) Informed Consent and Client / Examinee Responsibilities

Prior to any examination or training, the examinee and/or requesting party must:

  • Present valid government-issued identification

  • Complete all required intake and consent documentation

  • Acknowledge, in writing, the scope, purpose, and limitations of the service

  • Identify, in writing, all persons or entities authorized to receive results

  • Disclose any known conditions, restrictions, or factors that may reasonably affect the examination process

Lamore Polygraph reserves the absolute right to decline, postpone, or terminate services if documentation is incomplete, consent is withdrawn, safety or ethical concerns arise, or the requested use is inappropriate or unlawful.

4) Polygraph Results Disclaimer (General)

Polygraph examinations are investigative and screening tools only. They are not medical, psychological, diagnostic, or legal determinations.

All results reflect the examiner’s professional opinion based on physiological data collected during the examination and recognized analytical methods. Results:

  • Do not constitute proof of truthfulness or deception

  • Do not guarantee accuracy or reliability in all circumstances

  • Are intended to be used as one component of a broader decision-making process

Lamore Polygraph makes no representations or guarantees regarding outcomes, interpretations, or acceptance of results by courts, agencies, employers, treatment providers, or other third parties.

5) PSOT / PCSOT Disclaimer (Post-Conviction Sex Offender Testing)

When services are provided in a post-conviction, supervision, or treatment context (PSOT/PCSOT):

  • Examinations are conducted solely to support monitoring, supervision, treatment planning, or risk management

  • Polygraph testing is not therapy, does not replace supervision or treatment requirements, and does not determine guilt, innocence, compliance, or sanctions

  • The scope of testing (e.g., maintenance, monitoring, sexual history disclosure) is determined by the referring authority or governing program

  • Results may be disclosed only to authorized parties identified in writing and/or as required by law or program rules

Examinees and requesting parties acknowledge that supervising or treatment authorities may rely on multiple sources of information, and not solely on polygraph results, when making decisions.

6) Professional Standards and Texas Regulatory Note (Informational)

Lamore Polygraph conducts services in accordance with applicable federal and Texas law, recognized professional standards, and ethical practices.

Texas previously regulated polygraph examiner licensing under Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1703; that chapter was repealed effective September 1, 2021, and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation discontinued the licensing program. Lamore Polygraph emphasizes examiner qualifications, continuing education, documentation, and ethical compliance as a matter of professional practice.

Nothing on this website shall be construed as a representation of licensure, certification, or endorsement by any state agency.
